Refund Policies
It is our goal to help you reach your goals with us. We feel it is very important that you are pre-qualified to ensure you are able to engage in physical and potentially dangerous activities. We also want you to know EVERYTHING upfront so there are no surprises. We hear many complaints about dive centers' hidden costs and that's why people come to us. An amazing amount of our students come from word of mouth referrals. Also when a parent we certified then brings their kids to us for certification, there is no better complement!
Please read this carefully and as always feel free to contact us if you have any concerns or questions.
Class Refund Policy
When enrolling in any of our scuba programs you will always be pre-qualified. It is important that you are physically and psychologically fit to dive safely and know how to swim. Once we are satisfied of that, you can then enroll in a scuba program. Once enrolled you have 72 hours to withdraw from the class and be eligible for a refund of your tuition less a registration fee. Beyond 72 hours any refunds are at the sole discretion of Capt Saam's SCUBA School. Additionally if you fail to show up for class or fail either the academic, confined water, or openwater portions of the program you will not be eligible to receive any refund. However, in the event of a medical or family issue or are called to military duty refunds will be considered.
If you are not comfortable or have any
difficulties in the confined water we are happy to work with you but any additional training will be at
the expense of the student. These fees will be based on how many additional
sessions are required and will cover equipment, facility, and the instructor.
Prior to any issued refunds all training materials must be returned in the same
conditions as issued. The cost for damaged or missing video/audio media kit is
$50. The cost for the book kit if not in new condition is $65. These charges
will be deducted from any refund under consideration.
All refunds must be requested in writing.
Travel Refund Policy
When enrolling in any of our scuba travel programs you will always need to pay a nonrefundable deposit before your airline reservation is made. Your deposit will be taken ONLY in the form of a credit card. This card will be used for the rest of your trip payments and any expenses incurred during the trip such as optional dives, nitrox upgrades, airport expenses, and other travel expenses. All trip payments are nonrefundable. It is important that you understand that once inside thirty days of the departure date the airfares may dramatically go up. Once we are satisfied we can secure your airfare for a ‘reasonable price’ we will purchase your seat. Two weeks prior to the trip date the balance of the trip will be charged to your credit card. The trip must be paid in full prior to departure.
In the event your trip is canceled due to weather or other circumstances beyond our control your trip fees can be applied towards a future trip.
If you cancel out of the trip all fees may forfeited. In the event of a medical or family issue or are called to military duty partial refunds may be issued. All refunds must be requested in writing to be considered.
